About Aimee…
Founder | Speaker | Career Coach
In 2010, after a decade working within the talent development space, I started a YouTube channel in my kitchen with a £10 second-hand camera I’d bought on eBay.
In 2015 I raised my first funding round and began scaling this YouTube channel into an award winning e-learning company, Careercake.
Careercake’s professional development platform supported more than 10 million professionals in over 42 countries with leading organisations including Companies House, Nationwide and Tech Nation using it’s premium video content to develop their talent and in 2019 Careercake was voted the UK’s No.1 ‘Careers Advice Website’ …. a proud moment for myself and our incredible team.
In 2022 Careercake was successfully acquired by the world leading e-learning platform, SocialTalent.
In addition, my professional development courses have been completed by over 3 million people on the LinkedIn Learning platform and I continue to mentor and support organisations and their teams to feel seen, heard and valued in their careers.
All that may sound notable, but nothing is ever straight-forward (or easy) in the life of a founder. Whilst I was building my company I noticed a lack of authentic content that covered the 'real life stuff'. The often complicated decisions and challenging situations that keep founders and entrepreneurs awake at night.
For this reason I share heartfelt truths and inspirational insights to help power your founder journey.
In a nutshell I’m a globally recognised entrepreneur, speaker and careers champion.
